Intel® Threading Building Blocks (TBB) is an open source library that helps to take advantage of multicore processor performance. To evangelise about the software, Erdödy Consultancy established a strategy of global community building in different forums and organised the visit of James Reinders, Director of Software of Intel to three different conferences in New Zealand in 2010, 2011 and 2012. Also Erdödy Consultancy created and funded Open Parallel Ltd, a software company whose first major contract was with Intel, to deliver “Integration of Intel’s Threading Building Blocks into Facebook’s HipHop”. Erdödy Consultancy supported Open Parallel with project management through its dealings with Intel USA. As a result, Open Parallel is now a global expert in TBB.
