CLIENT: SUN Microsystems (Part of Oracle Corporation)

SUN Microsystems, Inc. was an IT company based in Santa Clara, California, United States and today is part of Oracle Corporation.

When SUN launched the UltraSPARC T1-T2 line of multicore processors, it was looking for partners to build a global ecosystem of software development. Erdödy Consultancy created World45 Ltd – a NZ based software company that went to specialise in the NDPS suite towards becoming SUN's ISV for Asia Pacific. SUN made the UltraSPARC T1 processor design available under the GNU General Public License via the OpenSPARC project and World45 facilitated the University of Otago to become the first SUN-Oracle OpenSPARC Centre of Excellence of the world outside of the United States
